Dr Terence Philbin was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He graduated in 1977 from the University of Notre Dame with his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then went on to attend the Delnoreste School of Mexico. Dr Philbin received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1983 from the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Philbin completed his internships and two-year residency at UPMC Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1986. He sees patients in Crafton, where he began his solo practice in 1986. He has been designated a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr Philbin provides teaching and training in his involvement with the Internal Medicine Residency Program at UPMC Mercy Hospital. He is currently the interim chair of the Department of Medicine at UPMC Mercy Hospital. He is especially committed to his geriatric patients at the Marian Manor, Asbury Heights, Baptist Home, Providence Point, Mt Lebanon Rehab and Little Sisters of the Poor nursing homes.
Dr Rajal Patel left the Upper St Clair area where he was born and raised to attend the University of Michigan. He received his Bachelor's degree and then worked as a Biochemistry Research Assistant prior to attending the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999. His post-graduate training was conducted at UPMC Mercy Hospital where he performed his internship and residency from 1999 until 2002. Dr Patel has been designated a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr Patel joined Campbell & Philbin Medicine Associates in August 2002. He is available to patients in both the Crafton and UPMC Mercy Hospital offices. His emphasis is on Wellness, Prevention and Exercise. Dr Patel enjoys teaching and is actively involved in the Internal Residency Program at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Dr Patel is also the Medical Director for Anova Hospice. Dr Patel and his wife Colleen are the parents to 3 children. In their free time they enjoy coaching , skiing, and hiking with the family.
Dr Ellen Carrington was born in New Jersey grew up in Maryland. She received her Bachelor in Nursing from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. While working as a registered nurse Ellen returned to school to complete her premedical school requirements.
She received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine fro Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ellen decided to fly north and completed her internal medicine residency at UPMC Mercy Hospital. While acclimating to the cold weather she embraced the Pittsburgh community and subsequently joined Campbell & Philbin Medical Associates. She enjoys spending time with her family including a standard poodle and outdoor activities. Dr Carrington is Internal Medicine board certified and is passionate about preventative care. Dr Carrington is available at the Mercy Hospital location where she provides inpatient care and outpatient services.
Mary Jane was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She completed both her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and her Master's degree for Family Nurse Practitioner at Duquesne University. Mary Jane has an extensive array of clinical experience, including, but not limited to, serving as clinical supervisor and central intake nurse at a hospice facility, serving as team leader and clinical staff nurse in home health care, and even serving as chief nurse and surgical supervisor in the Army Reserves. She achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Army Nurse Corps, USAR in 2006. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Mary Jane was welcomed to Campbell & Philbin Medical Associates in 2007 and is available to patients in both the Crafton and UPMC Mercy Hospital offices.
Erin was born and raised in Brookville, PA. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Westminster College in 2006. She graduated from her Physician Assistant program at Drexel University in 2008. Through Drexel she received the Cora Lee Alston Memorial Award for demonstration of personal integrity and commitment to under served communities. She began her career at Doctors Urgent Care in Wheeling, gaining invaluable experience in urgent care while at the same time providing primary care at their clinics. She served as a clinical preceptor to PA students at multiple area universities during that time. She joined Campbell & Philbin Medical Associates in 2012 and is available to patients at the Mercy office. She feels privileged to partner with patients in improving their well-being. Erin is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. She loves music, reading and especially enjoys these activities with her husband and three small children.
